This time we have a prince unusual. Applause and admiration for the courage of Prince Calaf, son of Timur, king of the Tartars that passionate since seeing the beautiful princess, is determined to face the trials and show her that love exists.
All try in vain to dissuade him from attempting such madness: his old father, the slave Liú, ministers of the kingdom and the Emperor himself, a righteous man and kind, who laments the cruel attitude of his daughter. This story is based on a libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni. She has already been set to music by Giacomo Puccini in 1924 and became this beautiful opera.
